What Is Industry 4.0?

The described transition referred to as Industry 4.0 follows on from the previous industrial revolutions which harnessed water and steam power to subsequent mass production and the inclusion of electricity. In addition to former developments, this fourth industry enhances production with computers and automated technologies with data and machine learning at the core.

For many organisations, despite its undeniable prevalence, Industry 4.0 may be a subject that professionals are struggling to navigate. Currently several businesses are preparing for the future and implementing significant changes that will allow smart machines to improve their company.

Such applications of technology may include the use of robotics for boosted efficiency to optimizing logistics and supply chains through connected, data driven systems.

If you’d like to benefit from guidance on the most appropriate areas of tangible ROI and enterprise wide incremental digital improvements, Supply Chain North East in conjunction with MagicSoftware and Metiscube have organised a free workshop this November. Find out more: https://bit.ly/34CrrFS
