What’s a typical day on Supply Chain North East?
A typical day on Supply Chain North East involves working closely with the team at Generator, making sure we’re on top of all the relationships we have with businesses across the North East and that we’re meeting their needs. I might spend some time working out how we make our offer more attractive to businesses through our events programme or work with the team to identify business communities we think SCNE could help and have a real impact on.
What is typical in a business’s supply chain that you want to fix?
Each business we work with comes to us with a different problem to solve. Part of Generator’s offer is that was are flexible in our support and thanks to our fantastic team of business coaches, we’re sure we can help you with whatever it is. We are largely focussed on the areas of digital adoption and digital transformation, enabling businesses to make a step change or to pivot entirely towards a more digitised way of working.
What is your background experience?
My background has largely been in arts and culture, working on partnership development and fundraising. This has enabled me to connect with a lot of businesses who are intrinsically attracted to the adoption of digital into their practice. I have also worked in the innovation sector, connecting academics with businesses to exchange knowledge and to enable a business to innovate, improve or invent to make themselves more resilient and sector leading.
What are the values that drive you?
I like to work in an open, honest and creative way. I think everything we do should be purpose led, so being able to listen, challenge and deliver are all key to enabling us to do that.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I’m a big music, film and comedy fan, so you’ll usually find me watching some of those or in my kitchen baking or deciding which gin to have next!
